Comprehensive Psychiatry
At Sound Choice Mental Health, we believe in the power of human connection. Your first visit will be in person at our Lacey, WA office.
During your initial psychiatric evaluation, we take time to understand your mental health history and current symptoms to create a personalized treatment plan. When needed, we conduct a detailed differential screening to deepen our understanding and fine tune your care.
We offer individualized psychopharmacology, evidence-based psychotherapy, and, when appropriate, complementary treatments ensuring your care is safe, holistic, and effective. Our approach supports your physical, emotional, and social well-being, with a focus on delivering compassionate mental health care.
Concurrent Psychotherapy
Pharmacogenetic testing is a powerful tool that helps personalize your mental health treatment by tailoring medication choices to your unique genetic profile.
At Sound Choice Mental Health, we use Genomind® pharmacogenetic testing to identify medications that are more likely to be effective and less likely to cause unwanted side effects. This advanced testing improves safety, reduces the trial-and-error process, and helps our providers find the right medication faster, especially for individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, or other psychiatric conditions.
By understanding how your body metabolizes different medications, we can make more informed decisions about your psychopharmacology plan, leading to better outcomes and fewer complications. The majority of the cost for Genomind testing is typically covered by insurance, making this innovative approach accessible to most patients.
Choice Mental Health is committed to offering cutting-edge, personalized mental health care that supports your journey toward healing and wellness.
SPRAVATO
Spravato® (esketamine) is a breakthrough medication for adults living with treatment-resistant depression—one of the first new FDA-approved depression therapies in decades.
Unlike traditional antidepressants, Spravato® works differently in the brain and has the potential to significantly improve the lives of individuals who haven’t found relief from other treatments. If you’ve tried two or more antidepressants without adequate results, you may be a candidate for Spravato treatment.
At Sound Choice Mental Health, we offer Spravato® therapy in a safe, supportive clinical setting. The medication is administered as a nasal spray that you self-administer under the supervision of our trained medical staff. This ensures both safety and comfort throughout the process.
Our team is committed to providing innovative, evidence-based care for those struggling with treatment-resistant depression. If you're ready to explore a new path toward healing, contact us today to schedule a consultation and learn more about whether Spravato® is right for you.

“Michelle Bajema is an outstanding psychiatric nurse practitioner — thorough, professional, and compassionate. She listens carefully, offers thoughtful insights, and makes well-considered, appropriate medication recommendations. I always feel heard and supported. I was once asked if I was comfortable with a student observing, which I appreciated, as it showed her professionalism and respect for patient choice. She is a provider who demonstrates integrity and genuine care. I’m grateful to have her as part of my care team.”
