Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Carrying the effects of trauma can feel exhausting. It can show up as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or feeling stuck in patterns that do not change. At Sound Choice Mental Health, we offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy, a fast and effective approach to help your brain process and release distressing experiences.
ART allows you to erase painful images and rewrite your story through memory reconsolidation. This process changes how your body responds to past experiences so they no longer trigger intense emotional or physical reactions.
Many clients experience meaningful relief in just 1 to 5 sessions.

How ART Is Different

  • Focuses on images and physical sensations, not just thoughts

  • Uses voluntary image replacement so you stay in control

  • Moves beyond desensitization to create positive outcomes

  • Process focused rather than requiring detailed storytelling

Why Clients Choose ART

  • No need to share detailed trauma narratives

  • No homework between sessions

  • No expectation of long term therapy

  • Fast and measurable results

  • Helps resolve emotional blocks such as guilt or shame

  • Client centered and collaborative

What ART Can Help With
Accelerated Resolution Therapy is a peer reviewed, evidence based treatment for trauma and mental health concerns in both adults and children.

Why ART Works
Your brain has the ability to update and heal from difficult experiences. ART helps reduce emotional reactivity and allows you to view situations with more clarity.
As distress decreases, positive memories can strengthen and new perspectives can take hold. This often leads to faster restoration of emotional balance and daily functioning.

A Faster Path to Relief
Accelerated Resolution Therapy is grounded in evidence based psychotherapy approaches but is designed to work more quickly.
ART does not involve hypnosis, medication, or ongoing homework. Many clients begin noticing improvement in their first session.

Real Results From Clients

“I made more progress in one hour than I had made in 3 years of therapy.”

“I was skeptical at first, but after one session my feelings changed dramatically. I no longer feel overwhelmed by what had been affecting me for months.”

“I can finally sleep through the night. I used to replay the hardest moments of my loss whenever things got quiet. Now my mind goes to the good memories instead. I still feel the loss, but it no longer overwhelms me or shows up as nightmares.”

“Accelerated Resolution Therapy has been life changing. After 40 years of living with a paralyzing fear of heights, I am finally free from it.  I was surprised at how quickly it worked. It felt like getting exactly what I needed and walking out with it."

"This approach works. Healing can happen faster than most people expect. Freedom is possible.”

“ART made a meaningful difference in my recovery. After massive stroke, I faced not only physical challenges but also a fear that I might not be good enough anymore.  Through ART, I was able to shift my anxiety into something more focused and manageable.  I felt supported  every step of the way. I now feel lighter and more like myself again.”

“ART changed everything for me. For two years, I lived with panic disorder and severe health anxiety, constantly fearing the worst despite normal medical tests.  Through ART, we uncovered a past trauma that had been fueling my symptoms. After just one session, I felt a shift. I could think more clearly, manage anxious thoughts, and feel calm again.  My physical symptoms have decreased and no longer control my life. I finally feel at peace.”

Pharmacogenetic testing is a powerful tool that helps personalize your mental health treatment by tailoring medication choices to your unique genetic profile.
At Sound Choice Mental Health, we use Genomind® pharmacogenetic testing to identify medications that are more likely to be effective and less likely to cause unwanted side effects. This advanced testing improves safety, reduces the trial-and-error process, and helps our providers find the right medication faster, especially for individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, or other psychiatric conditions.

By understanding how your body metabolizes different medications, we can make more informed decisions about your psychopharmacology plan, leading to better outcomes and fewer complications. The majority of the cost for Genomind testing is typically covered by insurance, making this innovative approach accessible to most patients.

Choice Mental Health is committed to offering cutting-edge, personalized mental health care that supports your journey toward healing and wellness.
